It took Hublot R&D department six months to structure the layers of materials which form the bi-material bezel and to obtain a regular incrustation of the metal in the carbon. To make it easier to understand (or as I understand it), metal (titanium or king gold) in the liquid state is cast into the space in the carbon and Hublot purposefully left the "flowing" pattern in the fused material. 

They created the carbon bezel incrusted with titanium, which reinforces the high-tech spirit of the Big Bang Ferrari.  The case features a special finish - micro blasted coating for extra hardness and a silky metallic effect appearance.
