Hublot Redesigns Big Bang Ferrari Watches In 2016

The partnership between Hublot and Ferrari is just as strong today as it was in 2011, when the project first started.A reinterpretation of Hublot’s Big Bang Unico model, the Big Bang Ferrari is basically what transpired when you try to put as many car parts as possible into a wristwatch. The watch’s minute counter and date window at 3 o’clock resemble a car tachometer; the style of the date itself is inspired by a Ferrari speed dial. Ferrari’s iconic Prancing Horse logo makes its appearance at 6 o’clock. The seconds counter at 9 o’clock is made to look like an air extractor.

Hublot also redesigns the contours of the bezel to make them look like an integrated color unit. Meanwhile, the push-buttons are fixed to a rotating staff like the pedals on a car and the crown has a Turbo Performance Engineer (TPE) feel to it.

New Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Watches

The iconoclastic Swiss watchmaker began collaborating with the world’s most famous automotive brand and Formula One mainstay in 2011, initially as a licensee keen to test the water, then as a full partner. With the launch of the latest Big Bang Ferrari, both parties have found the perfect temperature. More replica Hublot Big Bang watches.
45mm this is a seriously chunky timepiece – balances its various elements beautifully, much as Manzoni and his team have managed on the Ferrari F12tdf. The contours of the bezel have been reworked with countersunk notches for the six screws, themselves an integral part of the overall design rather than an unavoidably functional item. On the side of the crown, a red line detail is a clear nod to the most famous Ferrari colour, and the push buttons have a wonderfully linear, damped action.

Big Bang Ferrari uses Hublot’s proprietary Unico movement, integrating a flyback chronograph with a column wheel and double clutch mechanism sited on the dial side, and an hour counter driven directly from the barrel. The main plate, bridges and oscillating weight, which resembles a Ferrari alloy wheel, are all finished in black PVD and can be seen through the dial and case-back.

The New Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle Watch

The new Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle watch which unveiled last night in New York city is a deft blend of art, watchmaking and New York. The timepiece is the brand’s first to include elements of concrete. Hublot is known for its use of unusual materials in watch cases and dials, but the concrete bezel of this timepiece sets it apart. Additionally, Eaton graces the back of the 50-piece limited edition watch with his own signature mural collage drawing of the Statue of Liberty. More replica Hublot Classic Fusion watches.

The 45mm watch is being created in a limited edition of just 50 pieces. Water resistant to 50 meters, it features a case made of micro-blasted black ceramic and a bezel made of concrete and epoxy resin. The skeletonized HUB 1155 self-winding movement offers chronograph functions and date at 6:00.  The micro-blasted black ceramic caseback is engraved with “Special Edition”  and the number of the watch. It also features the Liberty collage painting by Eaton.

The 207-part movement beats at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers 42 hours of power reserve.  The watch is sold with a black rubber and synthetic textile strap or with a black rubber and gray calfskin strap.

Hublot Celebrate 10 Years Of All Black

The hero piece of the night was the limited edition Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black, launched internationally with only 500 pieces and valued at AU$81,300. Other notable timepieces on display which showcased the art of ‘invisible visibility’ included the ultra complicated MP-05 LaFerrari which was inspired by the car of the same name. Speaking of the All Black concept the Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver explained that “by its nature, black absorbs all visible radiation and does not reflect any light. In this original interpretation of our “All Black” concept, Hublot is once again playing with received ideas.”

“The Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black is both transparent and completely robed in black. What is more, it does not absorb light. In fact, it lets light pass through. It embodies the dichotomy of the visible and invisible, the seen and the unseen”.
