Big Bang Sang Bleu II is the second work of HUBLOT and Maxime Plescia-Buchi. Taking the name of the tattoo workshop Sang Bleu he founded, he presumably focused on his tattoo art. As in the previous work, HUBLOT does not choose specific specific tattoo themes, but based on the geometric patterns that Maxime Plescia-Buchi prefers, through the arrangement and combination of many triangles, the totem symbolizing infinity is assembled. The disc-shaped hour and minute hands formed in this way also make the dial look full and full. And this form also extends to the case, from the bezel to the case, there are many facets and bevels, which increase the three-dimensionality of the case. The same concept is also applied to the bevel of the edge of the sapphire crystal, causing the visual refraction of the inner ring of the watch, bringing some psychedelic flavor.

Big Bang Sang Bleu II is different from its predecessors, adding a flyback chronograph function, so the dial layout is naturally more complicated. But if you have an impression of the previous work, the previous replica Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu used a circular disc indicator composed of geometric patterns to replace the hour and minute hands, so the dial is already very full. After its launch, it quickly became the main chronograph movement of the brand.

HUB 1240 has a diameter of 30mm, a vibration frequency of 28,000 rpm, and uses a single barrel, but has a power reserve of 72 hours. This is because the brand has adjusted the arrangement of the transmission gear train to make a larger space so that the barrel can be relatively enlarged and more power can be stored. And the biggest benefit of ample power reserve is that it has stronger torque and power, which is beneficial to stable operation.
